The workshop

Botany, insectsand resin

By hand, without a mould.

My workshop is a small winter garden: plants, boxes of dried petals, wings I have found, and light from the window. This is where every piece slowly takes shape.

The craft

From the gardento the jewel

Four steps and a lot of patience. A single piece often takes several days.

The gathering
01

The gathering

Petals, leaves, feathers and wings are gathered with care, or ethically sourced.

Preserving
02

Preserving

Each element is dried and stabilised so it keeps its shape and colour.

Resin, without a mould
03

Resin, without a mould

I lay the resin by hand, layer after layer. With no mould, every shape stays free.

The finish

The finish

Settings, findings and polishing, until the piece is ready to wear.
